First US Organ Procurement Org Uses Drones for Blood Sample Transport

The University of Maryland Medical System has become the first organ procurement organization in the United States to use drones for transporting blood samples between facilities.

The program, launched in partnership with drone logistics company AirCycle, has completed over 200 successful flights in the past three months.
